Thoughts from yesterday's match

1) i thought mccallum was good, but everyone around me was whinging about him. looked great to me?!
2) Barnes - just added nothing really. Not enough pace to threaten at all, touch/holding up not good enough to make up for it.
3) Borja oozed confidence and class

4) general - this team has some great players in it and is coached badly. Of that there is not doubt. He can't organise us to beat the press in the champs, let alone against liverpool who are really good at it. Given that he should have got the players mixing up long and short much more, liverpool do leave gaps and we needed to keep them guessing

5) This is a great liverpool side, losing 5-2 away is no disgrace at all. Interestingly tho it highlighted all the problems we have in structure at the lower level, and showed how we have the core of a top 4 champs team in Sara, sainz, sarge, rowe, gunn, decent full backs

6) credit to the players for the effort they showed in that match. credit to the travelling fans too
