Tbf McKenna is a top top manager and will go on to great things at a bigger club

Their squad is what you'd expect coming up from League One and he's doing a massive job getting some kind of tune out of it at champs level. If by some chance they did go up even if they replaced all eleven starters (not one of whom is prem quality even at the bottom end), you can't get a new squad to gel properly over a summer, and their pension fund will start looking for an exit too.

What we did with Lambert - double promotion and then stay up a while - I simply don't think is possible any more because of how the Prem has changed so drastically even since then.
