Possession play is only good when you’re better on the ball

Than the other team is as getting it off you. Lesser PL teams fall down on that one.

Obviously you need some ability on the ball, and I think ours need to improve still, but being very effective on the counter is key for lesser sides.

I think we were excellent at this under lambert. I’m thinking about the games away at Old Trafford and the Emirates in particular. Didn’t have much of the ball but created lots of chances
