If people are out, or haven't played together in a while, the idea it'll all magically click instantly seems unlikely.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't think we've done as well as we might, and I think that Farke, for example, would have had all these players ticking better.

I dont think Smith would have. The players were all getting worse under him and he seemed more able/motivated to pick and play other teams youth and players than ours.
(I quite like that we've moved away from the loan market currently... Tho we could use a Skipp...)
