He really isn't

He is frustrating because we had such high hopes for him, and because he has all the physical tools to match those expectations, yet in reality he always chooses the exact wrong moment to make a bad touch, and unlike his early promise he seems to panic at chances, especially seemingly easy ones. And whenever he DOES start to get some confidence and click into the team, he ends up injured. Remember we looked way better with him in the side than not in our last PL season just before he got injured.

I agree that he will never be the player we had hoped for, but we've had a lot worse in our past. For some reason half the fan base seemed to love Hugill, but Idah has contributed waaaaay more than he ever did (even in short sub appearances).

If we go back four years I wonder how many of us would honestly have thought Carlton Morris would have turned out to be more successful than Idah?
