Managers make a difference

The state we're currently in is at least partly down to Dean Smith playing his (loanee) favourites and generally knackering the development of our younger players.

Wagner seems a bit better on this front, but we've ended up with a bunch of old lags in support (which I think has generally reduced the internal competitiveness of the squad)

He also seems quite limited tactically - not as terrible as he's been made out, and the injuries have been hugely disruptive, but he's done a poor job of shuffling things when called to do so.

To that end, I think it's a bit daft to call for him to be sacked without a clear plan of who or what we're after in his place.

If we were to sack him and get in Knutsen, I'd be chuffed.

If we were to go for Lampard, or the like, I'd be disappointed.

Nuance.
