Well he was England's leading wicket taker in the Ashes and

became one of only 5 bowlers to pass 600 wickets and became England's leading wicket taker against Australia.

And retired, having hit his last ball in test cricket for 6 and taken a wicket with his last ball/

And he's a bit of a character who I think would be deserving of recognition when you look at who has won that award previously.

I'm not saying i think he should definitely win it but he certainly is not as undeserving as is being made out.

As for Earps she's a good goalkeeper to be fair and yes possibly our top performer at the World Cup but she was part of an England team that to be honest were cr*p at the World Cup and then failed to qualify for the Olympics and the Nations League.
