Personally I can’t stand Christmas

Nothing to do with friends and family, that’s all fine (or so they tell me). And I enjoy time off work. But the forced joviality, the massive pressure to spend, the non-stop pestering of adverts, the omnipresent darkness, background noise of religion and anti-religion, intolerance (although that’s long since increased its remit to make it a year round misery) and all the associated nonsense make it the low point of the year for me.
