I think covid is a red herring

Even if we do blame covid that still leaves the small matter of GBP60m debt incurred in the last two seasons!

The real issue is that we mahoosively overpaid for wages in 2021/22.
Our GBP118m payroll earned us 22 pts & relegation, while many of our rivals paid substantially less [Leeds 121m, BHA 115m, Soton 113m, Watford 79m & Brentford 68m]
