You get used to it if you use it a lot

Used to fly an awful lot about 10-15 years ago with work and that was all BA and I became quite adept at it. It's a horribly put together mess though and I agree with AP re hotels (basically, never go with the package, you can always do better locally anyway if, like me, you view the hotel as requiring a bed, a working shower and wifi and, errrr, that's it, neither bells nor whistles required).
