I can see the sentence wasn’t clear, but I meant the change in playing style. We didn’t change our style when Buendia wasn’t available, but we did when he left.

Sure, I know he was unique for us in many ways, and not directly replaceable, and I am familiar with the “we weren’t good enough to do that in the Premier League” argument, but the change in style was quite sharp and needed more time to implement. Hence changing manager was a bit premature at that stage. And in any case, I’d rather we’d have stuck to our guns and gone down (if so) swinging and playing as we had been.

And that’s when Webber lost it for me, and a lot of the current rot started. Water under the bridge, obvs, and probably not worth discussion, but this current situation has been coming a long time.
