I'm confused

If the players' unprofessional and lackadaisical performances are the fault of the negativity of the 20%, why were they so very VERY s**t at Rotherham when there was no negativity and no reason for negativity. What exactly did we divorcees do to make Stacey punt the ball into touch every time he received it?
