Here is the major dilemma at the club....

Wagner needs results in the short term so tends to play most of the older/experienced players.
(so we get one of the oldest first 11's in the champs)

As a club we need a pipeline of younger players because we can't afford to buy all the players we need, plus we need to put these players in the shop window so we can sell a percentage to balance the books.

I'm assuming the plan this season was to have a team of mostly younger players with a few experienced players thrown in to help them along.
Buying a Barnes or Duffy is about trying to win promotion now.
It just seems like we have lost our way as short-term thinking/pressure has taken over long-term planning.

I know people dont want to hear this but there is no short term fix.
Just like Farkes first season we need to work through this while bringing the younger players through and adding to the squad in certain areas.
