my lad made me laugh the other day he said "i bloody love it when the weather is awful pissing down wet and cold" really, why? i asked, cos i think of all them poor sods holed up in shell scrapes and trenches stagging on all night and i'm f**king glad i'm out of it now. he's now in the fire service and loves it right off but admits he does miss the camaraderie of the forces, even though he's in a tight team in the fire, he says it's not the same. he was a dragoon as well x
