I thought Gibbs was good in pre-season and looked ready to step up

he was being played regularly as the deep lying play maker in front of the back 4 and was playing really well in my view. I thought this would be a breakthrough season for him.

Then the season started, we went 4-4-2 with Kenny and Sara as the chosen 2 in midfield and since then Gibbs has been restricted mainly to cameos and always as an attacking midfielder, not in that deeper lying position. Even when we play Gibbs or Nunez we play them as the more advanced midfielder and keep Sara playing deeper. i just don't understand it at all (perhaps a bit with Nunez but even that seems a mistake to me).

In my view, until we can get a CDM in January Gibbs should be playing next to Kenny with Sainz, Sara and Rowe in a three behind the striker.
