Getting dropped will have knocked him, scoring for his international side could otherwise have done us some good. Hwang's skill for that goal Saturday was outstanding but the rest of the game he didn't do much. High hopes though when he scored early doors tonight but then of course he gets a knock.
What Idah needs is a run of games and to score, I do think he's one of those who will repay patience. People forget that in that brief spell we looked like we belonged in the Prem, he started as part of a 4-4-2.
I think Borja Sainz needs to start a few, he is not quite at the pace required but he hasn't played a lot of actual games of football and as much as I love Onel, if we're starting him we're not in a great place. He's brilliant as a supersub near the end to scare tired defences, for sure. Also Placheta has come on at the 75-80 mark and done really well not that long ago.
At this stage of the season it's a bit worrying I'm talking about potential and how good players are as supersubs rather than starters but I have nothing eise, really.
I remain of the view that a different manager might yet get a tune out of a squad that started the season looking like auto contenders and playoff certs. Watford this term really aren't very good but we made them look very handy indeed which is more about us than it is about them.
