It’s not our slow centre backs that leaves us open on the counter although

It does limit our ability to cope with those counter attacks.

What leaves us open on the counter is the central midfield duo of Kenny and Sara who are not defensively strong enough (although both good players if used correctly) combined with full backs who bomb forward and then don’t always track back. Two or three times a game, Stacey just leaves his man completely unmarked and watches on from 40 yards away as they attack our goal.

We will not sort this issue out until we find the right player to sit next to Kenny and push Sara further forward. Until then it would appear Wagner intends to have everyone sit deep to the detriment of our attacking game.,
