But he was asked to take some time to solidify on his decision… not for optics at all.
However, as I understand, Delia and Micheal did call David and give him their support after this meeting. This was some epic handwashing on their behalf and massively undermined the incoming baby faced loans manager who knows they pay his wages. It wasn’t expected that David would go public with this, but he’s a smart guy and tied hands to make the club look a bit disorganised and chaotic if he was dismissed shortly after. He may have bought himself some time but ultimately BK has been put in a very uncomfortable position and lets face it, you don’t need me to tell you, he isn’t going to stick his neck out.
I still believe the sacking is coming in the next week, but things do change, and I can’t read minds. All I can assure you, is is that the club is a complete shambles and nobody with any backbone currently sits in a position of power. Big decisions won’t come easily and Delia certainly won’t help anyone to make them.
