The mistake, in my oh-so-humble, was trying to force 4-3-3 on a club whose first team simply did not have the players for that system even at chumps level let alone the prem. The philosophy of One True System throughout all the levels at the club is a sound one and means when youngsters step up there is less of a cliff-edge in terms of learning their role in the first team squad, etc.

Webber made other mistakes too, for the avoidance of doubt, as he himself acknowledges. I think JW had it right when he said we were good at everything except spending money - most of our transfers for what is big money for us haven't really worked out as we'd want.
