This is without doubt the biggest failure at the club.

We can sign decent players for free or little money.

We can find young talent and bring them through the ranks.

We can sell players for huge money.

But we just can't seem to spend the big money well.

This has been a problem even before Webber but he certainly continued it.

Maybe its the system in place.

We cant afford proven 30M players so you are kind of buying potential when paying 3-10M

You are also looking at mercenary type players (loans and buying) who are not playing for bigger clubs for a reason.

I kind of admire Luton for keeping the powder dry so they can pay for their new stadium.
