As it stands, I dont tihnk Braverman could win an election

There is a significant minority in this country who absolutely love her approach to everything, which mostly consists of name calling and blaming and then being as horrible as possible to whatever unfortunate group is in the cross-hairs this week. That market is big enough to live handsomely, grifting the s**t out of the stupid. And this approach might be enough to get a majority of Tory voters to select her as leader, as the Tory party generally does seem to be lurching its way towards some kind of EDL-light sort of political positioning, since Boris purged almost anyone on the right with an ounce of sense from the party. At the moment, it's only sycophants and head bangers left. A good long dose of exile in opposition is what the party needs to find itself again.

But FWIW I think the majority of people in this country are really switched off by this approach (and many hate it). I think this country's centre of gravity is pretty centrist. The people dont generally want a communist Utopia (offered by Corbyn). There are limits to how much tax anyone wants to pay. But neither do we want a country where the Government seems to be hell bent on f**king things up through incompetence and corruption. Most of us just want sensible policies, from a Government that isnt corrupt and entirely self serving, with a bit of a social conscience. It's actually not hard, and Kier seems to have read the room pretty well to me.
