To be honest I think we are very bad at reflecting on our colonial impact

We don't like to think that we might have been the bad guys because it is hammered into us that Britain is Great and has always been a force for good. The rest of the world tends to disagree. Our education doesn't cover it and when it gets raised we fall into discussions around wokeness etc.
