I've been feeling a sense of pointlessness about NCFC/football in general for the last couple of seasons.

I understand you have to have the downs to appreciate the ups but the ups are what precisely? Maybe a cup semi-final and scarping 17th place in the Prem is truly the peak of what we can realistically expect.
