Got sunburnt...

Spent :-
a day at Wild Wadi,
a morning at Deira City Mall,
an evening round the electronic and gold souks before taking an abra,
afternoon tea at the Burj Al Arab,
and an afternoon of dune bashing (with a mad Arab in national dress with shifty eyes and a death wish) followed by an evening BBQ at a bedouin camp.

Wanted to buy a wailing mosque alarm clock, but the missus (who had the cash at the time) refused to hand any over...

Hotel was on Sheikh Zayed Road, so getting to and from could be be fun at rush hours, but really enjoyed it.

Would be good to go back in a couple of years and see how it had changed beyond all recognition. Did notice they don't tend to do mid-range family accomodation for ex-pats though do they ?
