The most baffling thing is the inability of the manager to play a system

That protects the players from their weaknesses.

Our defence/midfield….actually, the entire f**king team…are very bad in possession under pressure. We give the ball away cheaply so easily and so frequently. Season after season now, we are “top” of the league on quality chances given away from critical errors.

Given where we are, given how low confidence is, why are we persisting with a system that continually puts our players in positions where their obvious weaknesses are as exposed as this?

Every week we lose to teams that aren’t even required to play well as a result. It’s so baffling.
