Agree with the Chair - "No player Is too good for us"....but

inevitably the good players - Maddison, Buendia - will always move to bigger clubs. That's the way it is and always has been for teams at all levels. Borussia Dortmund had to let Bellingham move on to Madrid....

Can only think of Le Tissier who stayed with one club throughout his career.

Think it's a just matter of phraseology. Obviously no player is too good for us, but we as a club will only be good enough for a player for a limited time. Football inevitably (and probably rightly) is ups and downs for all clubs. Snakes and Ladders. At present Newcastle, Wrexham, Ip*** etc are going up ladders having been utter tosh for many seasons. We are going the other way along. That's life and for some time (hopefully not 15 years) we are just going to have to suck it up.
