After relative success under a decent manager (Walker and Worthington) we went through and cavalcade of average at best managers, treading water and going slowly backwards...
Deehan / Megson / O'Neil / Megson II / Walker II / Faulkner / Rioch / Hamilton
Then Grant / Roeder / Gunn.
Them was painful years that I thought we'd seen the back of but we seem to have learned nothing from those fallow periods.
Both of those periods only ended when a pretty good coach/manager coincided with a useful crop of youngsters and smart acquisitions which all suggests serendipity rather than clear strategy.
We may be waiting for a few years until the next fortuitous happenstance turns things around as I'm not convinced the Milwaukee Money Tree is likely to bear much fruit.
This must be tough for younger supporters who have only really experienced the excitement of the last 10 years.
