I was there. Thing I remember

Every junction down there after the ferry was closed off so the the coaches couldn't detour. Twas English hooligan time. At a planned service station stop there was loads of police and their canine friends plus a helicopter circling over us. However once we got to Munich I recall a decent walk from the buses through all the German fans. Was bizarre.
Gunny was immense.
We were hanging on.
Still got the match program and the VHS copy of the game with Richard keys and Ally McaNally saying they humbled me after thinking we would get tonked.
