I completely agree with that

Interesting to look at the teams that were in the PL those seasons and where they are now:

Bolton
Wigan
Swansea
QPR
Blackburn
Stoke
Reading
Cardiff
Hull

The list of clubs that have fans that expect to have a squad capable of PL promotion is very long.

What is really stark though, is looking at the PL table now, the top 14 really are minted, whereas it used to be just the top 6 or 7. Even those in the bottom 6 are very wealthy compared to NCFC (except Luton). I don't know so much about Brentford and Burnley, but I'd be surprised if they'd had more or less zero owner investment.
