Fact Liverpool ended with 9 men probably rules it out

a) Shouldn't be replayed anyway - yes Liverpool were denied a perfectly good goal but you gotta take the rough with the smooth. What goes around will - one day - come around (as we are finding out ourselves after 15 years....)

b) Liverpool finished with 9 men. Both sending off a tad harsh but still sending off. One appeal failed. So if you replay the game then either it's 11 v 9 or totally unfair on Spurs.

c) The precedents are horrific - every team will want games ppd if wrong decisions go against them (Klopp has acknowledged this). In the past teams have been relegated as a result. Just that VAR wasn't in existence.

The fault is 100% with VAR. As others have said, just change the wording to cross reference with the referee what the on field decision was.
