I think we’re saying the same thing

The reason I say it’s a red herring though is because it disguises the fact that we hadn’t recruited well enough in the striker department even before his injury. We had to sign a replacement because he was injured, but actually we desperately needed an adequate back up striker even if he stayed fit.

Idah and barnes haven’t really worked in filling the hole he left in the side. Going into the season gambling everything on sarge, Sara and, to a lesser extent kenny, given no one else can play his role, staying fit is pretty stupid.

Overall though, I think wagner’s tactics aren’t working. We’re so exposed defensively, yet offer relatively little quality going forward. Maybe with sainz, sarge and barnes back things will look very different. Problem is sarge is out for what feels like forever right now.
