We should have been good enough to win that one

But we weren’t. And it’s really frustrating. I’m not totally convinced by wagners tactics, far from it in fact, but it was sloppy play at key moments that let us down and the cause of that was players that just aren’t quite good enough. Or at least not without someone that is capable of something special (Buendia, Maddison, Hoolahan).

Also very frustrating how obvious it is that we needed to prioritise a CM this summer. Much better with Forshaw on the pitch.

We need Sainz in the side and Sargent back to fitness.

I didn’t think we were too bad for most of that match, but really lacked quality when it mattered. Story of the last 12 months, really.
