Clearly this was...

(a) done at night with nobody around.
(b) Professionally cut with a larger chainsaw
(c) Needed to travel to the out of the way spot and then carry a heavy chainsaw a decent distance, there and back.....

Yet you seem to be disagreeing the person wasn't serious and professional.
