If you swap out the Guardian reference for crank YouTube /social media accounts.

The term Woke is quite unhelpful (and much the same way as labelling people alt-right) as it is reductive and massively stifles debate or understanding of the issues being discussed.

I know 1984 gets over quoted these days, but this really is the use of language to control thoughts and opinions.
