well yes - but probably no more so than usual,

but also, it doesn't scream to me of the (current) owners being resistant to selling to people they think will look after the club.

MA and the new owners will be taking a different approach to what we've been used to. It's what a lot of fans have been crying out for (there'll be more money, there'll be more on the line). The careful (somewhat elaborate) handover would seem to fulfil a number of aims around building confidence in each other, ensuring that there's funding to keep us ticking over and that the club isn't given away.

The discussion in this thread around the full takeover taking a while, makes me suspect that the new co-owners have recognised the value of the experience that Delia and Michael bring and want a smooth transition, rather than having to navigate that themselves, wholly reliant on Zoe W and whoever succeeds Stuart.

There was never the sense that these new owners would be flashing the cash Saudi oil style - so the pacing of this all looks pretty typical.

As I've discussed ad nauseum in the past, I'm not sure that new ownership will equate to us being in a radically different position to where we're currently at. We'll be more on a par financially with our peers (lower prem/upper champs) with all that that entails good/bad, but our success will still depend on us leveraging our USPs (currently, an for the foreseeable, being a good pathway for ambitious young players).
