Dude, it's not a problem

I'm not defending or claiming xG is the definitive tool on understanding football, nor is anyone else. It's just a way of looking at a game. It's not a solution, a prediction or anything more than just a way of comparing what happened subjectively. That's all. No-one is pretending otherwise. Sure, if you wanted you could maybe make it more accurate, but why bother?
