It’s a measure of the quality of chances that HAVE been created, therefore an indicator of how successfully a team has created opportunities to score. So a kind of evaluation of how well they’ve played in an attacking sense. If you want to use that as a predictor, go ahead. But it’s a measure of past performance - don’t they say with shares and savings, past performance is not a guarantee of future earnings? Or something like that?
Either way, it’s not a prediction. It’s a measure. And subjective at that, something I think we all understand here.
