Equally, wouldn't be too worried if he left for a decent fee. He's got potential, but not in the same category as Godfrey in my estimation. Using that money to get cover/competition for Sargent and getting another CB in all seems good from a rebalancing the squad pov.

Would be far more worried about McLean going.

What's interesting this time is that we seem to be bringing in a mix of younger players and older heads, to give them a guiding hand. Feels a better approach (more balanced).

Main thing that gives me hope is that we seem to be getting players playing to their potential/improving again (see platcheta) - whole squad looked like they were going backwards all last year.
