DW on Max Aarons: “I cannot confirm clubs, but he wasn’t in training yesterday or today. Nothing is signed yet, but I do expect something to happen in the next 48 hours.”

DW: “He is top class. Max apart from being a very good player is a very good character. He loves this football club and has does everything for the badge. His behaviour proved this.”

DW: "Everyone is available, the same squad as last weekend plus Płacheta who was ill."

DW: "Lungi has visited a specialist and now we'll expect him back after the September international break. Borja and JT could be back in team training for the international break too, we'll need to see in the next two weeks."

DW on Hull: “It was a strong performance in and out of ball possession. We deserved the win. We ticked lots of boxes, such as coming from behind and scoring late in the game.”

DW: “A good win and performance gives you belief and confidence. We are excited about the challenge on Saturday.”

DW on the goal conceded against Hull: “It was a simple mistake in this situation. Luckily it didn’t cost us, but we must try and avoid this.”

DW on Adam Idah: “First and foremost, I highly rate Adam and everybody knows this. He deserved this moment. If he gets his chance to start, we must make sure he is in the best shape. I’m happy with my striker group.”

DW on Fassnacht: “He played some on big stages such as the Champions League. It’s a big move to come to a new country, but he is intelligent and adapted well. He will work hard for the team and be in positions for goals and assists. His first start is round the corner.”

DW on CB situation: “We had Jaden (Warner) with us during pre-season. Lungi will also be back as an option. I am happy with this.”

DW on Omobamidele: "It counts for the centre-backs what I've said about strikers, it's good that there's competition. Nobody can take it easy. All of them played a lot of minutes in pre-season and are in good shape."

DW: “We can play with freedom on Saturday as we are not the favourites. 2000 away supporters are with us and we will fight for them.”

DW: on Sotton: "It's an intelligent team, they have individual quality which speaks for itself. They have speed, set-pieces. Defensively, very solid as well."

DW on Russell Martin: “He plays a certain style and I like it. The most important thing for me is my team. We will try to make it uncomfortable for them.”

DW: “Southampton will get promoted this season. This is not in doubt. They are one or maybe even the best team in the league.”

DW: “The interesting thing about Southampton is that we need to be strong and concentrated in both boxes. This is what we like to do. As much as you stick to your idea, which is what we've done, play our pattern and our principles, you need to be adaptable in the Championship."

DW on Ward-Prowse: “I don’t really care as he is not my player.” (lolf)

DW on Narcis 'Chico' Pelach: "He is the opponent’s analyst, so he comes up with an idea of how we like to play against them. We create the idea further together and work on this during the week.”
