I was making a general point, which was that 500k seemed to be the average amount of money spent on a 1st team player at other championship sides.

I can't be bothered to go trawling through databases to prove this to you, go and have a surf around soccerbase and see what other teams cost to put together.

'course NOW we've got a lot of players we did shell out on (hughes, etuhu, etc.) so the amount spent putting together a team proves nothing.

but the general point was simply that from a quick browse around, some teams (west ham, wigan, sheffield U) have invested more in their first squad than we have.

Which I didn't think was too controversial a point.
