The strange case of Simon Charlton

"When I played at Bolton I had a big lad playing with me and he went for all the headers and I would cover round so it worked really well.

But I think because we didn't have a big lad playing next to me here it didn't work the same way and then I just got bandied around, playing left-back midfield or wherever."

How very strange then, that (presumably) having watched Charlie, Worthington immediately sold our "big lad". And then, having bought another "big lad" he never tried Charlie alongside him.
This season with the "big lad" a fixture in the side, instead of trying (at no cost!) to get Charlie to replicate his previous success, he instead wasted a lot of our money on expensive loan signings.

Seems stupid to me, but then I'm not an agent so what do I know?
