Thoughts on the England ladies game last night.

- 44k attendance, really good support, enjoyable family orientated atmosphere. Had the wife and father in law in tow and they enjoyed it more than football back home.
- Game was decent enough. England very one dimensional in attack the first half, Haiti compact and breaking away quickly when they got the chance. England looked much better second half, more creative around the box but like Norwich, didn't really look like scoring for another 5 days.
- My first in person experience of VAR. Even though it worked in England's favour, my god it f**king sucks. Get rid please for the sake of the game.
- I always forget how well setup the Suncorp Stadium is for people flow in and out. Free flowing concourse around the mid tier of the stadium. Having the underground bus station at the south end, funnelling people to the four main lines out of the city and all free buses on every stadium event night, so good!

All in all a cold but enjoyable night. I'll try and get to a couple more of the games in Brisbane while the WWC is on.
