Corsica's a beautiful island. Got the boat to Ajaccio, and drove up the west coast, forests and deep gorges. Locals very friendly if you learn a word or two of Corsican.

The Corsican's don't like French rule! Most road signs have bullet holes in them, as do some municipal buildings. Talking to some French people before we left the mainland, they were surprised we were going to Corsica, in much the same way that people here would be with a leisure break in Belfast!

We had a fantastic holiday, in a beautiful place.
