A booster will only pump around your (probably) already low levels of WiFi.
Connecting a mesh and basically creating a new router as the poster above has referenced will get you much better control, range and destruction of black spots (there’s a cream for that…).
TP-link have some very good ones that you can set up all around your house. Unless you have a mansion, you should need more than 3, one of which should sit next to and connect up to your existing router. You’ll need to hit bypass settings on your existing router to make it work, but most systems will walk you through this and it’s much easier than it sounds.
