In test cricket its a bit of a cliché to say every day is pivotal

But it feels entirely true today.

It looks like batting conditions will be perfect, and we have two locals at the crease. If we can't make use of that to bat for a long time today, and build a good first innings lead, then it really feels like that is that for this series.
