When could you ever let the ball hit the ground when taking a catch.

To me its ridiculous that they seem to think they have been wronged in some way there. in fact, Root should not have been given out in our first innings for the same reason, something that ulatimatey could have made a big difference although he was batting like a t**t at the time.
