Athletic report him signing the rolling contract in November 2021. It doesn’t say

when that contract was signed then one would assume that he will be free to go at some point in November this year. I would imagine that if the club feel that he has already successfully completed handover to his replacement they will allow him to leave earlier.

If this is the case one would assume that the replacement would need to be in place already to conduct the transfer dealings this summer.

Interesting to note that his previous 3 year deal ran until summer of 2022, so by signing that rolling contract in 2021 he really only committed to an extra couple of months at that stage.
