It’s hugely important, although I do find that sometimes people seem to think that

leadership and footballing ability should be mutually exclusive.

We always talk about the Buendia sale and the return of Skipp as being the biggest reasons for our on-field demise, but I suspect the loss of Tettey’s leadership was also a massive factor.

Would love to have seen him brought back in a coaching role. Even a made up one just to have him around the squad.
