I don’t mean this to sound harsh but I hope it’s not free

We were still repaying WW2 war debt until very recently.
I can’t help but feel the west have used Ukraine as a means of enacting payback on the Russians for years of events like Salisbury.
There was no way of enacting retribution themselves without starting WW3 so Ukraine have acted as a filter.
