It’s just a really stupid set of things for someone in his position to say

Figures in the public eye generally lay off offering needless disrespect for others work. He doesn’t have to like women’s football, but spouting out what a pile of s**t he thinks it is will serve no purpose other than to piss off a whole bunch of people who do enjoy it. How would you feel if you played in that women’s team? Or had a relative that did. Or even just follow and enjoy the women’s game generally.

Shame he didn’t apply that level of brutal candour to the performance of his recruitment team.
